Veda Vyasa Mantra

 

Maharshi Vyasadeva was the son of Maharshi Parasara. He authored the Mahabharata, Bhagavat Gita and countless other sacred literature of the Hindu’s.

 

Vyasa Dhyana Mantra:

 

Vyakhyamudrikayalasatkaratalam sadyogapithasthitam

Vanejanutale dadhanamaparam hastam suvidhyanidhim|

Vipravratavrtam prasannamanasam pathoruhangadyutim

Parasaryyamativapunyacaritam vyasam smaretsiddhaye ||

Translation:

 

With the objective of attaining the Siddhi’s [and supernatural powers and abilities], we meditate on the treasure trove of all knowledge, Sri Vyasadeva the most pious and holy. His right palm glows with the light of the Vyakhyana Mudra as his left palm rests on the left knee. He sits in Pasmasana on a Yogapitha surrounded by learned person. He is cheerful and has the lusture the blue lotus.
